Terms of Service | Tamed Ocean

Terms of Service

The rules and expectations that govern your experience with Tamed Ocean — written with the same care we put into every tub we build.

Effective: March 2026
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By accessing our website at tamedocean.co.uk or purchasing any product from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.

1 About Us

Tamed Ocean is a trading name of Ten Spa Limited, a company registered in England & Wales.

When we say "we", "us", or "our" in these terms, we mean Ten Spa Limited trading as Tamed Ocean. When we say "you" or "your", we mean you — the customer or visitor to our website.

2 What We Sell

Tamed Ocean designs and supplies luxury marine-grade hot tubs, including wood-fired, pellet-fired, and associated accessories. Our products are manufactured in Lithuania using premium materials and delivered directly to customers across the United Kingdom.

Product images on our website are for illustrative purposes. Due to the nature of natural materials (particularly thermowood cladding), slight variations in colour, grain, and texture are inherent and not considered defects. Stated dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly due to material characteristics.

3 Ordering & Payment

3.1 Placing an Order

Orders are placed through our website at tamedocean.co.uk. When you submit an order, it constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract between you and Ten Spa Limited is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order.

After placing an order online, a member of our team will contact you to confirm the order details, product specifications, and estimated delivery date. Manufacturing begins only after this verbal confirmation has been received.

3.2 Payment

Full payment is required at the time of ordering. We accept secure payments via Stripe and other major payment providers. All prices on our website are listed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.

Kerbside delivery to most UK mainland locations is included in the listed price. Additional charges may apply for deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, remote rural areas, or offshore locations. We will confirm any additional delivery charges before processing your order.

3.3 Price Accuracy

We make every effort to ensure prices on our website are accurate. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you to inform you of the correct price and give you the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel the order for a full refund.

4 Delivery

Full delivery terms are set out on our Delivery Terms page. Key points are summarised here.

4.1 Timelines

Standard hot tubs are typically delivered within 2–4 weeks from the date of payment confirmation. Custom or pellet-stove models may require an additional 2–4 weeks. These are estimates and may vary depending on the model, season, and delivery location. We will keep you informed throughout the process.

4.2 Delivery Method

All hot tubs are delivered kerbside — meaning to the nearest safe and accessible point for the delivery vehicle. Your hot tub will arrive fully assembled on a pallet, upside down, with protective packaging. Final assembly involves attaching the pre-assembled chimney to the stove pipe. For models with an external heater, you will connect the heater to the tub using the two included hoses.

4.3 Your Responsibilities on Delivery Day

You must arrange for at least 3–4 adults to assist with unloading the hot tub from the delivery vehicle. The delivery driver is unable to assist with unloading for safety and insurance reasons. An adult aged 18 or over must be present to sign for and accept the delivery.

If you prefer professional assistance, our assembly service is available for £475 including VAT. This includes a 2-person team who will move the hot tub to your chosen location, connect all components, and provide a full walkthrough.

4.4 Delivery Access

You must ensure there is adequate access for a large delivery vehicle (up to 12 metres in length), including sufficient turning space, no low-hanging obstacles, and firm level ground for unloading. If delivery cannot be completed due to inadequate access, redelivery charges may apply.

4.5 Transport Damage

Please inspect your hot tub upon delivery. If you observe any transport damage, manufacturing defects, or discrepancies with your order, please note this on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately. We will rectify issues at no cost within a reasonable timeframe, or offer a price reduction or replacement with a comparable product.

5 Cancellations & Returns

Full details are set out in our Refund & Return Policy. Key points are summarised here.

5.1 Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2015)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2015, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery without providing a reason, provided the product remains unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

Made-to-order exception: Where a hot tub has been manufactured to your specific custom specifications, the 14-day cancellation right may not apply. We will make this clear at the point of order and during our confirmation call. Standard models from our published range remain eligible for the 14-day return window.

5.2 Cancellation Before Manufacturing

Orders placed online may be cancelled for a full refund (minus any processing fees) at any time before verbal confirmation is received and manufacturing begins. Once manufacturing has commenced, cancellation rights are limited as described above.

5.3 How Returns Work

To initiate a return, contact us by email with your order details. You will be responsible for arranging safe return transportation to our facility. Once we receive and inspect the hot tub, your refund will be processed within 14 days via your original payment method.

If the return is due to a fault on our part (wrong product delivered, manufacturing defect, or transit damage), we will cover all return and redelivery costs.

5.4 Conditions for Returns

Returned hot tubs must be unused (never filled with water), undamaged, in original packaging with all manuals and accessories included, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

6 Warranty

6.1 Standard Warranty

All Tamed Ocean hot tubs come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship that prevent normal use.

6.2 Commercial Use Warranty

For hot tubs used in commercial settings (glamping sites, holiday lets, spas, etc.), the warranty period is 12 months on all parts.

6.3 What Is Covered

The warranty covers manufacturing defects including visible cracks in gelcoat and fibreglass, structural leaks from perforated integrated stoves or faulty hoses, and any defect that prevents the hot tub from functioning as designed.

6.4 What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (including heater grate burning), damage caused by misuse, improper installation, chemical damage from incorrect water treatment, environmental damage (storms, frost, flooding), natural wood characteristics (colour change, minor cracking, UV exposure effects), use of non-original replacement parts, consumable items, or damage resulting from failure to follow the product manual.

6.5 Making a Warranty Claim

If you discover a defect, stop using the hot tub immediately and contact us within 7 days by email with a detailed description, photographs, and if possible, video of the issue. We will assess your claim and arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. Unauthorised repair attempts may void your warranty.

6.6 Warranty Limitations

The warranty period begins on the original delivery date and is not extended by any repairs or replacements. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. Transportation costs for warranty service are your responsibility unless the defect is attributable to our manufacturing.

10 Limitation of Liability

10.1 Our Responsibility

We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10.2 Exclusions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tamed Ocean is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our products, including but not limited to: loss of income, loss of business, or damage to property not caused by a defect in our product.

10.3 Product Safety

You are responsible for using our products safely and in accordance with the instructions and safety guidelines provided in the product manual. This includes (but is not limited to) proper water treatment, supervision of children around hot water, chimney safety awareness, frost protection, and adherence to installation guidelines. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in injury or damage for which Tamed Ocean cannot be held responsible.

11 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, government actions, shipping disruptions, customs delays, supply chain interruptions, or acts of third parties.

In such circumstances, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable and use reasonable efforts to minimise the impact on your order.

12 Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your order or our service, please contact us first at info@tamedocean.co.uk or by phone at 07824 034451. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint directly, you may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. As required under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015, we advise that the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is no longer available to UK consumers post-Brexit. However, you may contact Citizens Advice or seek resolution through the UK courts.

13 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under English law.

14 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or product offerings. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15 Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
